World War II California Coastal Defense System Studies

World War II California Coastal Defense System is a documentary project following the world war 2 costal defense system from Half Moon Bay to Mt Tamalpais. My interest in these old military complexes stems from my father’s service in the Pacific Theater. These old relics were built to withstand heavy attack and as such have for the most part been relatively preserved through both their design and the upkeep provided by the National Park Service. They sit as a reminder both to the service men and women and also to constant need to be vigilant.
